What we do is only possible with help from our volunteers.

The Dwelling Place (TDP) is fully operated by volunteers. We have numerous volunteer opportunities available at TDP Day Center, TDP Essentially Basic Hygiene Pantry, and TDP Shelters. 

Three hours a month is all you need to give of your time! What a difference you can make in our community!

At TDP Day Center Monday and Friday volunteers work under the direction of our Day Managers ensuring our neighbors have orderly access to our facilities. Volunteers also assist with serving lunch.  

Do you love to cook? We have been looking for you! Join us once a month to cook and prepare lunch for our neighbors on a Monday or a Friday.

Is cleaning and making surfaces sparkle something you enjoy? We have the perfect opportunity for you! Join our Day Center Cleaning or Shelter Cleaning Teams!

Do you like sorting and packing bags? Our Hygiene Pantry may be the perfect spot for you! Our volunteers prepare and distribute bags of hygiene products.  

Are you flexible with your volunteering hours and perhaps you have a heart for social work? Serving with TDP Shelters may be your perfect match! Our Shelter Volunteers work directly with TDP Housing Team overseeing the families that are staying in our short-term houses.

Some volunteers also maintain our properties by painting, odd repair jobs, gardening and much more.
